Any experience with a Reaper 55hz / Green Beret or ET65 / Reaper 55Hz in a AC30 combo? Seems like the AC30 doesn't hit the sweet spot until the MV is at 70% but that overwealms the other guitarist AD30HTC. I want killer bottom but also a killer breakup with OD. Now, I was thinking that a Reaper 55hz / Green Beret would work well or ET65 / Reaper 55Hz. Looking for bawls and punch without that ear piercing highs that swallows the room. I’m looking for that in your face RAWK that would complement my other guitarist with his AD30HTC combo. So I always hear, “GO Blues” or “GO Greenbacks”. Ill be using both my Squier Classic Vibe and my Epiphone Les Paul Standard, plugged into my Vox ac15. Again, Vox got this right as it is to my ear the best-suited stock speaker for the Vox sound. The main differences between the 2 are the stock speakers, rectifier and cabinet material. Honestly haven’t found one that I really didn’t like. The 1×12 Vox amplifier combo has a single 16-ohm speaker. I put Celestion alnico's in both but to be fair, the Wharfedale speakers that were stock are decent regardless of what you read. Ive been thinking about buying an extension cabinet for my AC30 for some time (not that I really need it, but you know.), and suddenly this 4x12 cabinet has popped up on the Norwegian equivalent of Craigslist for a fairly good price. They only missed the VIB/TREM tone of my 1976 one, but they were much more versatile, still retaining that vintage VOX tone though.
